The Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action. The Guild’s motto which is taken from Acts 27, verse 23 is ‘Whose we are and Whom we serve.’

News from session 2015 -16
“It was decided at the Afternoon Guild’s annual general meeting (March 2016) how the Guild funds should be dispersed. After allocating our contribution of £150 to the Guild’s national projects, the ladies decided that our donation to the church should be used to buy cooking utensils needed by Messy Church for the preparation of their evening meals. The following items were purchased
2 saucepans 2 frying pans a colander a cheese grater
These items will also be used for preparing breakfasts in the church centre during the Butefest weekend.
We also paid for two ink cartridges for the printer to help towards the cost of producing the church Newsletter.
Our sincere thanks go to those who generously supported our fund raising Coffee Afternoon, and also to our Speakers who helped to make the 2015 / 2016 session such a success.
