The Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action. The Guild’s motto which is taken from Acts 27, verse 23 is ‘Whose we are and Whom we serve.’
The Afternoon Guild meets in the Church Centre at 2.00pm on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month from October to March. New members, both ladies and gentlemen, are always welcome.
News from Session 2016 – 17
At the end of session 2016 – 17 we reflect on all the enjoyable Monday afternoons we have spent together. The theme this year was ‘Go in Joy’ and our speakers enthusiastically shared this in their own chosen topics – travel, flowers, music etc. We had ‘hands on’ sessions when everyone participated in baking and making greetings cards.
During the summer months we will hold our monthly ‘tea and chat afternoons’ at 2.00pm on the first Monday of each month – starting on Monday 1st May – all are welcome.
