Easter Reflection

On Easter Saturday the 31st March we will create a relaxed space for individual meditation and reflection on our individual response to Christ’s crucifixion.

The ground floor of the church will be set out with a number of thought provoking items to help us reflect on the life of Jesus.  Journeying with Jesus we will consider aspects of his time with us as we follow in his footsteps to the cross and beyond.  Background music playing during this time of contemplation – by John Williams and Ennio Morricone and new interpretations of the psalms – will be both innovative and familiar.

The church will be open to everyone from

12 noon until 6.00pm on Easter Saturday

  •  Feel free to come and simply listen to the music in our beautiful sanctuary.
  • Spend time contemplating the various items and accompanying words at each station.
  • Stay for as long or short a time as you wish.
  • Elders will be on hand to guide and assist you.

Easter Day ‘Sunrise’ Service

Although sunrise will actually occur at 6.10 am, the Christian folk of Bute will gather at the ancient ruins of St Blane’s Chapel at 7.00 am on Easter Day, Sunday 1st April to celebrate together.
