Organisations
Befrienders
Part of our vision statement is that we aim
to "support our members......through the development of fellowship and the
Christian care of those in need." The Befrienders Group hope to further this aim
by visiting the those who find it difficult to get out and about but would enjoy
the companionship of someone from church.
1st
Port Bannatyne Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association Company
This is open to both boys and girls and runs
from the beginning of September until the end of May. They enjoy games, arts/crafts, Bible stories and songs,
trips, parties and more. For more information, please contact Raymond Deans
(01700 504893). They meet every Tuesday in the Port Bannatyne Scout
Hall and have the following sections:-
Anchor Section (P1 - 3) from 6.00 till 7.00
pm
Junior Section (P4 - 6) from 7.00 till 8.00
pm
Company Section (P7 - S4) 7.30 - 9.00 pm

Choir
The choir and organist meet to rehearse for an hour on
Friday evenings at 6.00 pm during the winter. They lead praise in the Sunday morning
11 am service and
sing occasional anthems. New members are always welcome.

Church of Scotland Guild
The Guild is a movement within the Church of
Scotland that encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus
Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
Meetings normally include worship, a speaker or demonstration and news of, or
work on, National Projects. The United Church of Bute has two Guild sections.
Both meet from mid-October until the end of March. UCB Afternoon Guild - 2nd &
4th Monday of month at 2.00pm and UCB Evening Guild - every Thursday at 7.00 pm

Lighthouse
Lighthouse is for children of all ages and
meets on Sunday mornings during school term at 11.00 am in church. After the
first 15 minutes of the service, we meet in the meeting rooms of our new church
centre in age specific groups for further learning. Lighthouse Sunday Evening
Club meet from 6.30 - 8 pm for a wide range of activities including art /
craft work, Heartstart course, cookery, visits of interest e.g. coastguard
station and fundraising activities.

Monday Teen Cafe
Young folk meet from 7.00 - 8.30 pm to play
games, take part in craft activities or just sit and chat.
Pass
It On
Pass It On seeks to turn Christian concern
into practical action by providing household necessities and good quality
recycled furniture to those in difficult circumstances. It is supported by other
churches on the island.

Worship Team
Most of the worship team have training in
leading worship. They meet as required to discuss and plan forthcoming worship
and are currently responsible for evening services.
